The Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, the Greenbelt Plan, the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan and the Niagara Escarpment Plan are four provincial land use plans that work together to manage growth, build complete communities, curb sprawl and protect the natural environment. The Province initiated a Co-ordinated Review of the four plans in February 2015. Members of the public, Indigenous communities, stakeholder, municipalities and organizations provided feedback on how the plans are performing and how they may be improved. The Province is now seeking feedback on proposed changes to the four plans until October 31. In a facilitated discussion, panelists from the Province will discuss the proposed changes and how the plans better contribute towards building complete communities, supporting agriculture, protecting natural heritage and water, growing the greenbelt, addressing climate change, integrating infrastructure, improving plan implementation and measuring performance.
