Senior Planner (Policy), Town of Georgina

A Planner with over 10 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, Adrian Cammaert has accumulated a diverse range of experience in policy development, urban design and development approvals.  Adrian is currently advocating for a greater understanding of form-based zoning in Ontario.
Adrian is passionate about vibrant urban places and has a dedicated interest in evolving Ontario’s urban design principles.  This passion led him to establish the Provincial Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU), North America’s leading organization promoting high urban design standards, walkable, mixed-use neighborhood development and sustainable communities.  As Chair of CNU Ontario, Adrian works to explore innovative ways to advance current zoning practices to increase levels of community engagement.  
Adrian’s passion for urban places extends to the Main Streets and downtowns throughout southern Ontario.  This is exemplified in his involvement with Business Improvement Areas and other community groups where he works on improvement plans to rejuvenate these areas and make vibrant destinations.  
Adrian is a registered professional planner, a full member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and is a fully accredited member of the Congress for the New Urbanism.
