Andrew Sorbara

Chair, Toronto Parks and Trees Foundations

After graduating with a MSc in Urban Design from the Bartlett School, University College London, Andrew returned to Toronto and has worked in a variety of different roles in the fields of urban planning and real estate development for both the City of Toronto and private consultancies.  More recently he has been involved in the design, approval and construction of a series of innovative infill residential developments in the City of Toronto for the Sorbara Development Group.  He has also dedicated substantial time over the past few years to building the capacity of the Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation.  He has taken a leadership role in restructuring the Foundation in order to better allow it to take advantage of the groundswell of public and corporate interest in improving Toronto's parks system and building a more resilient urban forest.
