Nithya is a senior advisor leading transportation and urban development projects in the Pembina Institute’s Ontario office. She conducts policy and data analysis to support transit investments and transit-supportive development in the Greater Toronto Area. Nithya’s experience in transportation planning covers the public, private and non-profit sectors. She began her career at TransLink in Vancouver working in analytics. Before joining Pembina Institute Nithya spent 3 years at a transportation consulting firm focusing on travel behaviour change programs and transit project planning. She has worked on over two dozen planning projects in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. and holds a Masters of Urban Planning from McGill University.
