Using municipal case studies from differing contexts, participants will explore benchmarking, measurement and process mapping as enhancements to the development review process. These tools are being used to redesign the process so that it works more effectively and reinforces mutual perspectives concerning efficiency, cost timelines and accountability among developers and planning authorities. Participants will gain a toolkit to find the evidence, accurately pinpoint the issues and rebuild a planning implementation system that effectively advances the needs of all stakeholders well into the future.
