Using a selection of case studies from Brampton and Grimsby, this session will explore ways to establish policies and regulations to ensure appropriate infill and redevelopment that maintains the established character of mature neighbourhoods General discussion topics will include crafting policy and zoning recommendations geared specifically to infill and redevelopment within mature neighbourhoods, utilizing GIS technology to analyze neighbourhood character, and using urban design principles to ensure compatibility of new development within mature neighbourhoods.
 
Participants who sign up for this session will be asked to take a quick 10-minute online survey, a few weeks prior to the session. This survey will focus on the themes of policy, zoning, GIS and urban design and will be used as a tool to inform the presentation and set the structure for an effective exchange of ideas.
